Mandal Manager ("the App") is an offline management tool designed for community groups, local event committees, and organizations. This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is stored, and what it specifically does not do. It is written in plain, unambiguous language to clearly describe the App's actual operations rather than asserting compliance with specific regional laws. Please see the Disclaimer section at the end for more details.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to anyone using Mandal Manager—whether you are operating the App in the full-access President/Treasurer mode or the restricted Coordinator mode—for the purpose of managing a community group's donations, expenses, tasks, contacts, and related records.

2. The Short Version

Mandal Manager stores everything directly on your local device. There is no company server, no cloud database, and no backend that the App reports to. Nothing you enter into the App—a donor's name, a phone number, a currency amount, a photo, or an uploaded file—is transmitted anywhere by the App itself. The only way any of that information leaves your device is if you, the user, deliberately choose to send it somewhere yourself (for example, tapping "Share" to send a receipt over messaging apps). That is your own explicit action; the App never transmits data on its own.

3. What Information the App Stores (Locally, On Your Device Only)

Depending on how you use it, the App may store the following information directly in your device's internal storage:

Donation records: Donor names, donation amounts, dates and times, payment mode (cash or digital), and a transaction reference number (UTR) if you choose to manually enter one.
Contact details: Donor and participant mobile numbers, if you choose to add them. These are used strictly to address messages directly and to enable the receipt-sharing features.
Expense records: Vendor or item names, exact amounts, transaction dates, and specific notes.
Task and contact lists: Information you enter for preplanning, tracking volunteer assignments, competition participants, or committee rosters.
Coordinator/President profiles: The profile you set up on a specific device, including a name, phone number, and an optional security PIN for locking sensitive actions.
Branding assets: A group name, custom receipt messages, and a logo or payment QR code image, if you upload them, to personalize receipts and reports.
Audio files: MP3s or web links you choose to upload for offline event playback.
PDF file attachments: Up to 5MB per entry, if you choose to attach one to a record (for example, a vendor's receipt or a scanned copy of a permission document). See Section 8 for important clarifications regarding this feature.
Backup files: Files you generate yourself (in .mmr or .json format) specific to this App, which you entirely control and choose where to save or distribute.

All of the above lives exclusively in your device's own local IndexedDB storage. None of it is copied to any server operated by the developers of this App, because no such server exists.

4. What Happens When You Choose to Share Something

The App includes features allowing you to share donation receipts, announcements, or full financial reports via messaging apps, SMS, or as downloadable PDF/Excel files. When you utilize these features:

You are the one making the explicit choice to send the information, and you are choosing who it goes to.
Once a message or file leaves your device through a third-party app, SMS, or your phone's native sharing menu, it becomes subject to that respective app's own privacy practices, not this App's. We have no visibility into, nor control over, what happens to information after it is handed off to your telecom provider or any other application.

5. Advertising and Premium Features

This App may display banner advertisements through Google AdMob to support its continued availability at no cost. AdMob may collect certain information for the purpose of showing and measuring ads. This process is governed exclusively by Google's own privacy policy and AdMob's own data practices, not by this App directly, as we do not control what AdMob collects for ad-serving purposes.

If you choose to purchase the "Remove Ads" feature via Google Play Billing, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not process, see, or store your credit card or payment details.

6. Permissions This App May Request

To function properly, the App may request the following native device permissions:

Notifications: Used exclusively to trigger local alarms on your device to remind you about a specific task or plan you have scheduled.
Storage (Files/Documents): Used strictly to save the reports (PDF/Excel), exports, and database backups you generate directly to your own device's physical storage.
Internet/Network State: Used by Google AdMob to fetch banner advertisements and by Google Play to verify Premium purchase status.

None of these permissions are used to collect, harvest, or transmit your personal organizational data to us for any purpose whatsoever.

7. Data You Control

Because everything is stored on your own device, you possess total control over your data:

Deleting the App, using the in-app "Clear All Data" feature, or clearing its storage through your device settings permanently removes everything the App has saved. There is no hidden copy anywhere else to recover, because none exists.
You can export a full, granular backup of your own data at any time, choosing exactly which categories to include.
Nothing about your usage, financial totals, or donor lists is visible to the developers. We do not operate any analytics systems or telemetry trackers that receive data from installed copies of this App.

8. About Documents You Attach (Vendor Receipts, Permission Letters, etc.)

The App allows you to attach a single PDF file (up to 5MB) to specific entries—for example, a vendor's bill, or a copy of a permit you have obtained from a local authority for your event. This feature exists purely as a localized convenience for you to keep your own copy of a document you already possess for your own record-keeping.

To be absolutely clear about what this feature does and does not do:

The App does not issue, verify, validate, apply for, or maintain any relationship with any government body or licensing authority.
The App does not check whether an attached document is genuine, current, legally complete, or sufficient for any administrative purpose.
Storing a document in the App has absolutely no bearing on your actual legal obligations to obtain required permits, licenses, or permissions from appropriate local authorities for your event. Those obligations exist independently of this App and remain entirely between your organization and the relevant authority.

9. Financial and Accounting Liability Disclaimer

Mandal Manager operates strictly as a self-reported, offline digital ledger.

To be absolutely clear: The App is not a bank, a payment gateway, or a financial institution. The App does not connect to any banking system to verify the authenticity of digital transactions, UTR numbers, or cash deposits.

All generated digital receipts and financial reports are based entirely on unverified, manually user-entered data. The developers assume zero legal or financial liability for any accounting errors, fraudulent receipt generation, fabricated UTR entries, misappropriation of funds, or auditing discrepancies. Financial verification, reconciliation, and auditing remain the sole legal responsibility of your organization's administrators and committee members.

10. Religious, Cultural, and Political Neutrality

The App is a general-purpose organizational and record-keeping utility built for community groups, local event committees, and volunteer organizations. The App does not represent, endorse, or take a position on behalf of any specific religious, cultural, or political practice. It simply provides flexible organizational tools and structural features that can be applied to any community gathering or occasion.

11. Children's Privacy

This App is intended for use by adult members of community organizations managing event logistics and finances, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this App.

12. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated to reflect new features or functionality, the "Last updated" date at the top of the document will change. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
